Once you’ve covered boxed cushions and slip seats, you’re ready to put your new skills together into simple combinations. We’ll begin to analyze how sewing and upholstery should interact for fully professional results.
Before beginning, you should feel very comfortable with the full processes of sewing a boxed cushion and upholstering a pull-over seat.
This course will demonstrate how to get accurate, great fitting results when fitting a boxed, sewn cover to a basic wooden frame. We’ll discuss several best practices for things like achieving neat seams and even boxing.
This course includes in-depth video demonstration on two sample seats and downloadable resources for exploring and applying these skill combinations in real project variations.
By the end of this course, students will be prepared to achieve a professional result on a wide variety of slip seat styles and related applications. You’ll also have the basic knowledge you’ll need to start breaking down increasingly complex sewing and upholstery combinations.
