Introducing Upholstery 200: Fundamentals

Upholstery 200: Fundamentals

This program includes 12 courses designed to build your professional skill set. At the beginning of each course, students will review a detailed video
demonstration and written instructions before attempting to complete a short project. Those who are registered for the certificate track will meet weekly via Zoom in an instructor-supported cohort to discuss questions and clarifications. Each course includes quizzes, self-assessments, and downloadable forms. Attention is given throughout to how concepts may be translated to real work. This program is entirely online, but students will need access to a basic professional set up, including a sewing machine they can comfortably operate, and several commonly accessible project components. (See full tools and supplies list) We will discuss equipment selection throughout the program for those who are learning independently.

Students should plan to spend approximately 8-10 hours per week completing course work.

Students who are registered for the certificate track will also receive a one-to-one planning session with their instructor and a final portfolio review.
